Petal's Choice Logo Design
When I think of a flower shop, my mind automatically associates it with "girly" and "modern." I couldn"t tell you why. Modern often corresponds with simplicity; sleek, smooth lines and clean design. That's why I chose this font, Lemur Light, to be the primary aspect of the logo. Rather than just putting some text down and calling it good, I opted to change the lining and colors up. Replacing the loop in the P of "Petal's" with a simple petal vector, I feel that this not only livens up what would normally be a boring plain text logo, but also adds a graphic element that still would comply to the client's standards. Additionally, I used varying shades of gray, different thickness of lines and used a light green for the petal vector's color to make it "pop."
When designing a logo, it's important to keep the lines simple; small details can take away from the main idea you're trying to present. I was hopefully able to follow through in this general rule through my design.
